Women UNOK Kopal miscreants in government quarters

Wahida Khanam, 35, an executive officer of Goraghat upazila in Dinajpur, was stabbed and seriously injured by miscreants after entering a residential building.  At that time, they also hacked and injured his father Amar Ali.  UNO is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of Rangpur Doctors Clinic.  His father has been admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

The administration has cordoned off the Upazila Parishad premises.  Dinajpur-6 MP Shibli Sadiq, Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner.  Mahmudul Alam and Superintendent of Police Anwar Hossain were present at the spot.

It is learned that a group of miscreants entered the residence of the executive officer of the Upazila Parishad at around 2.30 pm and started beating UNO Wahida Khanam with sharp weapons.  At that time, the father, who was with her screaming, came running and tried to save her, but the miscreants also injured her.

Later, the residents of other quarters informed the police.  They were rescued and taken to Goraghat Upazila Health Complex.  There they were sent to Rangpur with first aid.  UNO Waheeda Khanam has been admitted to ICU at Rangpur Doctors Clinic and Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Ghoraghat Police Station OC Amirul Islam confirmed the matter and said that the cause of the incident was not known.
